Jewelry seen on Ice Sculpture Christmas - Rachel Boston

Hallmark Christmas movies are a great new tradition for the whole family. I love working with actress Rachel Boston on her productions (which she often also produces!), creating handmade jewelry from Peggy Li Creations she can use with her vision. One of these new Christmas classics is the movie "Ice Sculpture Christmas" where she stars as Callie Shaw, an aspiring chef. The movie also stars David Alpay and Brenda Strong.

Callie gets a job in the kitchen of the country club of the wealthy family of childhood crush David. David enters Callie into an ice sculpting contest, even though that means she'll go up against her boss, Chef Gloria. David falls in love with Callie's determination, kindness and giving spirit and they end up working together to create a winning ice sculpture.

There are some very Rachel Boston signatures all over this film! Our heroine often wears red (very Christmas spirit) and dazzles in white.

Rachel wears my Smoky Topaz Trillion Earrings and my Rose Gold Tiny Bar Necklace in the opening scenes of the movie!

How amazing is Rachel in this trio of Peggy Li Creations handmade jewelry! She's wearing a wire wrapped aquamarine Wire Wrap Ring, some simple Spark Earrings, and a red garnet Bubble Necklace. A perfect example of how to mix and match different jewelry pieces into your wardrobe.

Callie (Rachel Boston) wears my Diamond Pave Wave Post Earrings in several scenes. They are sterling silver and have smoky diamonds roughly faceted.

Looking for a little bit of sparkle? My simple Crystal Slice Necklace is a mix of crystal shapes that are what you need.

The best part of Hallmark Christmas movies? They will repeat forever on the Hallmark Channel! Be sure to catch Ice Sculpture Christmas around the holiday season and during the "countdown to Christmas" movie marathons they always have.

Do you have a favorite Rachel Boston movie?

Jewelry on You're the Worst

FXX show "You're the Worst" stars Aya Cash, Chris Geere, Kether Donohue, Desmin Borges and Janet Varney as a group of friends navigating love and life in Los Angeles. As you can tell by the title, these people aren't necessarily the most stable of individuals! Jimmy (Chris Geere) is a self-professed narcissist while Gretchen (Aya Cash) thinks she can not be tied down by a relationship. Now in season 4, we find the unlikely couple dealing with the fallout of Jimmy walking out on Gretchen immediately after proposing to her (and Gretchen saying YES).

In a show filled with quirky characters, Peggy Li Creations handmade jewelry has found a few spots! Guest star Tessa Ferrer wore my Single Stone Necklace in season 2 and funny lady Janet Varney (as Becca) wears my Carved Cross Necklace for several episodes.

The costume design on the show reflects California casual - they live in Los Angeles and Gretchen works as a Public Relations manager and Jimmy is a budding novelist. I love how Gretchen often layers pendants and has amazing ringstacks. Are you watching this show? It's definitely not your typical rom-com. Catch up with You're the Worst on their website and be sure to check out all the Peggy Li Creations jewelry seen on TV.

Modern Pearl Jewelry You Can Wear Now

Pearl jewelry is making a resurgence, it is not just a gemstone your Mom or Grandma used to wear! With fashion icons like Veronica (played by actress Camila Mendes) from the hit CW TV show Riverdale to princess Kate Middleton wearing pearls, pearls are popping up everywhere.

Making pearls more modern here at Peggy Li Creations means pairing them in simple, minimalist settings or putting them in unexpected situations.  Mix your pearls with denim, wear pearls to work and you can go easily from day to night! I love working with white freshwater pearls, but pearls can come in many amazing natural shades including greys and pinks. Pearls are also readily dyed for even more amazing colors including peacock blues, vibrant pinks, even greens!

I love how TV and film often lead the way in breaking in new fashion combinations, some TV shows I love for mixing pearls in a cool, modern and sophisticated way are Jane the Virgin and Scandal.

Rachel Lindsay Jewelry, The Bachelorette Beaded Necklaces

Another season of The Bachelorette is almost complete and is possibly the-most-dramatic-ever! I've really admired Rachel Lindsay and how she has carried herself this season, really cutting through the chaff (except for keeping that Whaboom guy, wtf?). Her style this season has been a little more figure-hugging and luxe than previous Bachelorettes, so I was so thrilled to see Rachel wearing a few of my Peggy Li Creations Basic Beaded Necklaces during her hometowns!

Necklaces on The Bachelorette
Basic Beaded Necklaces seen on Rachel Lindsay
Far from basic, the Basic Beaded Necklaces come with your choice of number of beads and different lengths to mix and match how you want to match your style. Available in sterling silver or 14k gold-filled, these necklaces are super affordable as well.

She's wearing my single bead in 16" length and 5 bead in 18" length in these show promo pictures from ABC:

Good luck on your journey to finding love, Rachel. Who do you think makes it past hometowns, Bryan, Eric, Dean or Peter?

Aria (Lucy Hale) Earrings on Pretty Little Liars

Only a few episodes left of Pretty Little Liars and Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale) has been playing for the A.D. team in an attempt to get out of the game. In the latest episode "The Glove that Rocks the Cradle," Aria is dispatched by A.D. to go vandalize Emily and Alison's new nursery. In true Aria style, she gets a little too into the task, tearing up teddy bears(!) and eventually needing to stand there with the girls out of breath and pretending to look surprised. Eagle-eyed Spencer spots an earring on the floor and recognizes it as Aria's - who quickly says she must have dropped it on the way in. They've always said Aria is the best liar of the Liars!

The earring Aria is wearing is a Peggy Li Creations Orange Sapphire Cluster Earring (also seen on The Vampire Diaries). Here is how the whole scene went down:

Spencer: "What's this?"

My answer: Orange sparkly goodness?

Aria: Whoopsie! That was close.

Costume designer Cameron Dale had informed me she was looking for jewelry, some small, delicate earrings, and I sent a few samples out to her. I'm so glad she picked the gemstone earrings for this important moment in the show!

Jewelry seen on Famous in Love Season 1

Did you binge the whole series of Famous in Love like I did? Peggy Li Creations jewelry was featured in the entire first season of Famous in Love starring Bella Thorne! Bella is crazy gorgeous and comes hot off of her Disney Channel show (among other projects) Shake it Up, which also starred Zendaya.

Based on the novel by Rebecca Serle, the story is about starlet Paige Townsen who gets her break on a big Hollywood blockbuster and finds her world turned upside down. Not only does she have crazy chemistry with her costars, but she also finds herself getting embroiled in Hollywood deals and maybe even a murder!

The series also stars Niki Koss, Georgie Flores, Charlie DePew and Carter Jenkins. Produced by I. Marlene King of Pretty Little Liars fame, the show is full of drama, romance and mystery. And the fashion? The fashion was amazing young-Hollywood-of-the-moment amazingness! Follow the Famous in Love TV show on Instagram to see great sneak peeks - I spy some awesome 40's inspired dresses and the best ingenue outfits for Paige.

Paige wore my Star Charm Necklace in several episodes, which is fitting, since she is on her way to being a big star in Hollywood.

Niki Koss as Alexis Glenn shows her softer side, wearing my Little Leaf Necklace in gold plated silver. She's the villain, but don't underestimate her!

I adored this scene with Bella Thorne and Carter Jenkins practicing a sexy dance routine. Bella looks amazing in simple dancewear and my Tiny Feather Charm necklace.

The costume designer on this show also designed Hart of Dixie and the final season of Pretty Little Liars (pretty amazing, huh?). Be sure to check out the jewelry designs seen on those two shows, just click on the links.

Are you excited for this show to start? Won't get to us until April 2017!

Switched at Birth Final Season - Jewelry

All good things must come to an end... including the heartfelt family drama Switched at Birth. The final episodes have been a great look back at past storylines plus setting up the exciting question of where with the Kennish sisters go from here? Where can you go after tackling issues like racism, sexism, campus rape, rights for people with disabilities and let's not forget, a switch at birth?!

Bay Kennish (Vanessa Marano) and Daphne Vasquez (Katie Leclerc) have worn Peggy Li Creations jewelry since the second season, along with other amazing cast members like Lea Thompson(!) and Oscar winner Marlee Matlin. Here are some of the favorites, below! Huge thanks to costume designer Courtney Stern and her team, which gave me so much freedom, often tasking me to make pieces for specific characters! So much fun.

Champagne Citrine Earrings, worn by the ever lovely Rachel Shenton as Lily.

Star Vanessa Marano as Bay Kennish, the artistic, tattoo artist sister, in my Pearl and Leather Necklace.

One of my favorites from the show, B.K. Canon as Mary Beth wearing my Two Hearts Necklace.

In one of the most powerful episodes of the season, Shannon Piere-Lewis as Iris tacked racism with her own personal hunger strike, wearing my Butterfly Twist Earrings.

Bianca Bethune as Sharee wears my Teardrop Necklace and Octagon Hoop Earrings (large) on Switched at Birth.

Elementary Jewelry Season 5 Lucy Liu Ophelia Lovibond

Elementary, the CBS show featuring a contemporary Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and his co-detective Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) continues to go strong. Here at Peggy Li Creations, I feel so fortunate to have long working relationships with TV shows of this caliber.

The fifth season of Elementary saw Holmes' protege Kitty Winter (Ophelia Lovibond) return in a two part episode "Wrong Side of the Road" and "Fidelity". While the strained relationship between Sherlock and Kitty are explored, it is revealed that Kitty has gone back to a more normal life and has even become a mother. In the end, Kitty asks both Sherlock and Joan to be godparents to little Archie.

In the amazing season finale (and yes, we have confirmed a season 6 of Elementary!)  Joan wears my Thick Nested Wire ring in 14k gold-filled. She's worn this previously in a sterling silver version!

The Vampire Diaries Season 8 Jewelry and Farewell

The last episode of The Vampire Diaries series has come and gone and I have finally dried my tears! Whether you loved or hated the ending (were Delena and Stelena fans satisfied?) I will say I loved seeing the true camaraderie and chemistry the cast has had for each other all these years.

Peggy Li Creations jewelry has had the privilege of working with one of the hardest working crews in the biz for over 5 seasons. In this last and final season, everything was a little more simple, yet a little more epic.

Kat Graham as Bonnie wore my Warrior Woman Necklace in the episode "Coming Home Was a Mistake". During the finale, I saw a tweet that said that the Bennett witches coulda had their own show and I agree! Spinoff, anyone?

Candice Accola King as Caroline Forbes wore my Orange Sapphire Cluster Earrings in the episode "The Lies Will Catch Up With You." I've loved seeing the character of Caroline grow over the seasons and her optimistic nature get tested with heartache. Did you think she should have ended up with Stefan and a happily ever after?

Jane the Virgin season 3 Jewelry

Jane the Virgin season three has been a season of change, including the SPOILER ALERT death of Michael #TeamMichaelforever *tears*. After this huge shift, the show jumped three years into the future, with Jane (amazing actress Gina Rodriguez) still coping with her immense loss.

Jane is even more battle tested three years later and her wardrobe reflects her more worldy and sophisticated self. Her pop-y accessories are a little more grown-up. Luckily there is still a lot of fun color and great figure-flattering silhouettes (courtesy of costume designer Rachel Sage Kunin).

Happy to say that Peggy Li Creations handmade jewelry continues on this journey with Jane, Petra, and Xo.

I'm also loving Petra's evolution (Yael Groblas) as she goes from hardened grifter to tiger mom to caring mom. Can she and Raf find their way back together, or will Jane always come between them?
Petra Jane the Virgin earrings

Part of Jane's story is how she is developing as a writer. Her newfound confidence is so lovely and I think my Triangle Cage Earrings are a great pairing with her as she finds this edge!

Now that Jane and Michael's chapter has ended, what do you hope for Jane? Should she end up with Rafael? I'd rather she find a different path, as it would seem too pat for her to end up with Raf.  I love the unusual family unit Jane, Raf and Petra make. In any case, I will be watching to see what happens next! Will you?
