Three seasons and many specials later, The Good Witch returns for a magical fourth season on the Hallmark Channel! Before we get to return to Middleton and the lives of Cassie Nightingale (Catherine Bell), her daughter Grace (Bailee Madison) and beau Dr. Sam Radford (James Denton), they had a magical Halloween special The Good Witch: Spellbound.
In this TV movie, where a mysterious prophecy haunts the residents of Middleton, despite their efforts to have a Halloween decorating contest. Cassie and Grace of Grey House must unravel the riddles before evil strikes. It's a sweet, family friendly world, where rivalries are explored and resolved, and any conflict among the townspeople is temporary. Middleton always becomes a stronger community after their mystery is solved and it is usually solved with the help of Cassie and Grace. The most pressing question might be, will Dr. Sam ever get really serious with Cassie? Will they finally tie the knot and get married?
I loved seeing my Drusy Point Necklace on meddling Abigail (Sarah Power), Cassie's cousin. She wore the necklace while in the coffee shop sparring with Stephanie (Kylee Evans) over who was going to have the best Halloween decorations and again later when checking out the competition.
Catherine Bell as Cassie exudes such a knowing warmth and calmness, it's not hard to see why the town gravitates toward her. I've loved her since her JAG days and am so happy to see her thriving in this series.
